Partnership aims to build on synergies of bioelectric stimulation + amniotic fluid based regenerative fluids + re-fillable micro infusion pumps + mixed stem cell based compositions for candidate therapies to be studied for organ regeneration and healing.

Leonhardt Ventures will provide access to bioelectric stimulators, patented and patent pending bioelectric signaling sequences for controlled regeneration promoting protein sequences, including inflammation management, re-fillable micro infusion pumps and other regeneration composition components such as exosomes, micro RNAs, selected alkaloids, nutrient hydrogel and matrix.

Axolotl Biologix will provide access to a full lineup of amniotic fluid based products produced in an FDA inspected production facility in Phoenix, Arizona including AxioBioFluid A, an ambient room temperature amniotic-derived regenerative fluid product.

Press Release – LOS ANGELES, CA – 05-17-2018 (Press Release Jet)
Leonhardt Ventures
and Axolotl Biologix announced today a strategic partnership to explore therapeutic and commercial opportunities of combining Leonhardt’s bioelectric stimulator + micro pump + mixed stem cell-based compositions for organ regeneration with the
Axolotl Biologix
lineup of amniotic-derived fluid products.

A major hurdle for regenerating damaged organs is having nutrients in place for recruited and infused stem cells to survive, thrive, differentiate and form new healthy organ tissues. Amniotic-derived fluid contains a variety of growth factors and cytokines that are optimized in the most regenerative environment known – the womb. This environment supports and encourages repair and regeneration.

Through this partnership, Axolotl Biologix will have access to Leonhardt’s extensive expertise and technologies related to organ regeneration, including over 19 patented or patent pending bioelectric signaling sequences, re-fillable micro infusion pumps and stem cell based mixed compositions. Leonhardt Ventures and the 24 organ specific startups in its Leonhardt’s Launchpads innovation accelerator(s) in California and Utah will have access to Axolotl Biologix’s full lineup of amniotic-derived fluid technologies.

Phillip Larson, President of Axolotl Biologix, commented: “We are very excited to explore whether the combination of bioelectric stimulation and our amniotic-derived fluid products can improve upon results found with either therapy on its own. We believe that there is strong potential that there are synergistic benefits to this combination that will improve patient outcomes.”

Howard Leonhardt, Executive Chairman & CEO of Leonhardt Ventures, commented: “We are thrilled to work with Axolotl Biologix to develop, study and potentially commercialize new combination bioelectric and biologic candidates for patients suffering from degenerative diseases. Axolotl Biologix’s expertise and experience in manufacturing amniotic-derived products is hugely helpful to our organ specific startups in developing their product pipelines.”

Leonhardt’s Launchpads sectors:

  • Heart & Cardiovascular – heart, biological pacemaker, heart valve, diabetic ulcers, blood pressure and aorta regeneration.
  • Brain – stroke and traumatic brain injury recovery, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Brain-N-Hance cognitive function enhancement.
  • Cosmetic & Personal Care – breast tissue generation, dental gums & teeth, tooth movement, skin, hair, erectile dysfunction.
  • Major Organ Regeneration – eye, pancreas, lung, liver, kidney, ear hearing, bladder, mucosa, inflammation, knees, joints, bones, tendons, whole body regeneration.
  • Cancer – bioelectric and Biologix cancer treatment including inflammation control.

Programs aim to enter clinical trials across multiple organ systems between 2018–2023, including regenerative and oncology applications. Numerous pre-clinical studies are ongoing.

The bioelectric IP estate includes controlled release of proteins such as SDF1, IGF1, HGF, EGF, PDGF, VEGF, eNOS, HIF1a, CXCL5, tropoelastin, follistatin, Activin A+B. Research includes stem cell signaling, homing, proliferation, differentiation, and inflammation control.

Both organizations aim to validate therapies through controlled clinical trials. Early foundational research includes cardiovascular regeneration studies, bioelectric regeneration publications, and stem cell based heart regeneration work dating back to the 1980s–2000s.
