Lionheart Health founder recognized for advancing bioelectric medicine, multi-organ regeneration and healthspan technologies
ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — Lionheart Health, Inc. announced that Howard J. Leonhardt, Executive Chairman and Co-CEO, has been named a finalist among 60 innovators being honored by the Orange County Business Journal in connection with its 12th Annual Innovator of the Year Awards.
The recognition celebrates Orange County innovators whose ideas, leadership and accomplishments are helping shape the future of business and technology throughout the region.
The Orange County Business Journal will honor this year’s innovators at its annual awards luncheon on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the Irvine Marriott.
Leonhardt’s recognition comes as Lionheart Health advances a growing portfolio of technologies spanning bioelectric medicine, regenerative medicine, multi-organ regeneration, muscle health and healthspan longevity.
Octopus™ Multi-Organ Regeneration System
At the forefront of Lionheart Health’s development pipeline is the Lionheart Octopus™ Multi-Organ Regeneration System, being developed in collaboration with the University of California, Irvine Capstone Engineering Program.
The Octopus platform is being designed as a next-generation, multi-channel bioelectric system capable of delivering precisely programmed stimulation protocols to multiple areas of the body.
The long-term vision is to develop an integrated platform for investigating bioelectric signaling and bioelectric enhanced biologics designed to support the repair and regeneration of multiple organs and tissues, in multi-modality combination with complementary regenerative technologies such as bioelectric enhanced peptides, exosomes, amniotic fluid, Wharton’s Jelly, stem cells, nanoflowers and stromal fraction.

Lionheart 240 Stimulator™ — Bioelectric Technology Already on the Market
While Lionheart advances its next generation of regenerative technologies, the company is also commercializing the Lionheart 240 Stimulator™, a programmable electrical stimulation platform manufactured in Orange County, California, by Mettler Electronics, with assistance from HTM Electronics of Brazil.
The Lionheart 240 is already on the market and being sold to clinics, with the platform capable of supporting up to 25 different stimulation programs and indications of use, subject to the applicable regulatory status and permitted claims for each application.
The platform allows Lionheart and participating clinics to deploy specialized stimulation programs across areas such as muscle conditioning, circulation, pain management and other wellness, rehabilitation and investigational regenerative-health applications.

BodStim™ EMS — Building Muscle and Studying Healthspan
Lionheart is also advancing the BodStim™ whole-body EMS exercise suit, which combines electrical muscle stimulation with exercise.
The underlying EMS technology is FDA cleared for applications that augment the benefits of exercise and support muscle conditioning, including helping users build muscle more efficiently when used as intended with exercise.
Lionheart has additionally developed specialized investigational bioelectric signals targeting Klotho and follistatin pathways.
Klotho is one of the most widely studied proteins associated with healthy aging and has been investigated for its relationships with brain, kidney, cardiovascular, muscle and metabolic health. Follistatin is particularly important to muscle biology because of its relationship with myostatin signaling and muscle growth.

Lionheart Membership and Klotho-Up™ Protocol
Lionheart Longevity also offers a physician-guided annual membership program built around advanced diagnostics, personalized healthspan planning and access to Lionheart’s expanding regenerative-health ecosystem.
The membership includes comprehensive biomarker testing, physician-led review and a personalized protocol that may incorporate elements of the Lionheart Klotho-Up™ Protocol, depending on each member’s medical history, health goals, eligibility and physician recommendations.

Members also receive preferred or discounted pricing on eligible treatments, devices, diagnostics, supplements and other products, including products available through the Lionheart Longevity eStore Shop.

Building a Multi-Modality Regenerative Medicine Platform
“Our vision is to move bioelectric medicine from individual stimulation applications toward an integrated system addressing multiple components of human aging,” said Howard J. Leonhardt, Executive Chairman and Co-CEO of Lionheart Health. “The Lionheart 240 gives us a commercial platform already being used by clinics. BodStim combines exercise with specialized bioelectric signaling, and our Octopus system being developed with the UCI Capstone Engineering Program represents our longer-term vision for multi-organ regeneration.”
Leonhardt added, “Our membership program and growing network of licensed clinics are helping translate our research and technologies into practical, physician-guided healthspan programs. Members can access personalized Klotho-Up™ strategies, preferred pricing on eligible treatments and products, and support through participating clinics—including multiple locations serving Orange County.”
