New investigational study arm to evaluate multimodality regenerative approach for joint health, mobility, inflammation, and healthy aging

Huntington Beach, California — July 30, 2026 — Leonhardt Ventures LLC today announced the filing of a new provisional patent application covering a multimodality combination therapy for osteoarthritis and joint regeneration. The intellectual property has been exclusively licensed to Lionheart Health, Inc. for development within its OrthoStim™ Joint Health Program.

The patent application covers methods of combining Lionheart Health’s proprietary bioelectric stimulation technologies with Pentadeca Arginate (PDA+) and additional regenerative therapies intended to support healthy joint function, cartilage biology, connective tissue repair, mobility, and healthy aging.

As part of this intellectual property initiative, Lionheart Health is launching a new investigational study arm within its OrthoStim™ program to evaluate the safety, feasibility, biomarker changes, and functional outcomes of this multimodality wellness protocol.

Investigational Combination Therapy May Include

  • OrthoStim™ targeted bioelectric stimulation
  • Pentadeca Arginate (PDA+)
  • Personalized exercise and muscle strengthening
  • Weight optimization programs
  • Nutrition optimization
  • BioPRF™ where appropriate
  • Red light photobiomodulation
  • Pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy
  • Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (EMS)
  • Targeted supplements
  • Additional regenerative wellness technologies selected by investigators

The protocol is designed to investigate whether combining multiple complementary approaches may provide greater improvements than any single modality alone.

About Pentadeca Arginate (PDA+)

Pentadeca Arginate (PDA+) is an investigational bioactive compound being explored for its potential role in supporting connective tissue biology, healthy inflammatory balance, cellular repair mechanisms, and musculoskeletal wellness. Researchers are evaluating whether PDA+ may help create a biological environment favorable for maintaining cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and other joint-supporting tissues.

Its potential mechanisms under investigation include:

  • Supporting healthy extracellular matrix biology
  • Promoting connective tissue remodeling
  • Supporting healthy inflammatory signaling
  • Enhancing tissue recovery processes
  • Supporting mobility and joint function
  • Potential synergistic effects with bioelectric stimulation

These potential mechanisms remain under investigation and have not been established for the diagnosis, treatment, cure, or prevention of disease.

New OrthoStim™ Investigational Study

The new study arm will evaluate combinations of bioelectric stimulation and PDA+ using objective measurements that may include:

  • Joint pain questionnaires
  • Functional mobility testing
  • Walking performance
  • Range of motion
  • Muscle strength
  • Quality-of-life assessments
  • Imaging where appropriate
  • Blood biomarkers related to inflammation and healthy aging
  • Investigator-selected biomarkers associated with cartilage metabolism and tissue repair

The study is intended to help identify optimal multimodality protocols for future clinical research.

Leadership Comment

“Bioelectric medicine appears to influence numerous cellular signaling pathways involved in tissue maintenance and repair,” said Howard J. Leonhardt, Founder of Leonhardt Ventures and Executive Chairman of Lionheart Health. “Our new patent application seeks to protect combinations of bioelectric stimulation with promising regenerative compounds such as Pentadeca Arginate. Rather than relying on a single intervention, we believe future musculoskeletal care may increasingly utilize carefully designed multimodality protocols that address inflammation, muscle function, connective tissue biology, circulation, and overall joint health simultaneously.”

About OrthoStim™

OrthoStim™ is Lionheart Health’s bioelectric wellness platform designed to support joint comfort, mobility, muscle conditioning, and recovery through non-invasive electrical stimulation technologies. Various Lionheart stimulation platforms have previously received FDA clearance for specific electrical stimulation indications through OEM partners. The new PDA+ combination protocol is investigational and is not part of any FDA-cleared indication.

Regulatory Statement

The combination therapy described in this announcement is investigational. The provisional patent application relates to intellectual property and does not imply regulatory approval or proven clinical effectiveness.

Any future clinical investigations involving disease-specific indications will be conducted only after appropriate regulatory, Institutional Review Board (IRB), and ethics approvals, with informed participant consent, qualified investigators, and appropriate data safety monitoring.
